Andrew (Andy) Stofleth

SBP Representative

Andy Stofleth serves on the 2021 GBCH Board of Directors as the SBP Representative. He is a two-time combat veteran of the U.S. Marine Corps and has worked for SBP on major disaster recovery efforts across the United States, Puerto Rico and The Bahamas. Andy joined the SBP team as the National Director of Communications in 2018, where he helped develop and disseminate resources for homeowners and small businesses following disasters, expanding SBP’s reach to millions of Americans each year. After Hurricane Dorian devastated The Bahamas, Andy permanently relocated to Grand Bahama, accepting the role of Executive Director and championing SBP’s international recovery efforts in the Caribbean. As Executive Director in The Bahamas, Andy oversees SBP’s operations across the country, including a residential rebuilding program, clean water public-private partnership with the Public Hospital Authority and early and ongoing support for the long-term recovery of the Grand Bahama Children’s Home (GBCH). Since September 2019, Andy and his team have supported rebuilding Grand Bahama in many ways and continues to enhance operations and governance at the GBCH. Andy holds a B.A. in Public Relations from Eastern Kentucky University and a M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from West Virginia University.
